About Qi Gong

Let’s start with breaking down the words….QI is the Chinese word for “life energy” Qi is the flame, the fire that exists in us all which is necessary for our survival. Without this life giving heat we are sick and not living optimally.  GONG is “work” the cultivation acquired through repetition and determination.  Therefore, Qi Gong means working with Life giving energy to improve health and balance of the mind and body. A self-healing exercise that includes movement, breathing techniques and meditation. One of the most wonderful things about Qi Gong is that anyone of any age can practice it! All you require is comfy clothing, and an open mind. 

Let’s talk about some of the amazing benefits of Qi Gong.  Once you start, you can’t get enough of the Gong!

Qi Gong will help you enhance body mechanics, improve core strength and balance, and increase flexibility.  Qi Gong integrates body, mind and spirit and can be easily accommodated to people of varying levels of fitness.

The New England Journal of Medicine recently reported that Qi Gong can help ease chronic pain, benefiting people with arthritis, fibromyalgia, tension headaches and other ongoing painful conditions.
